On Tuesday (10), Fraport Brasil formalized the concession contract for Jericoacoara Airport in Ceará. The signing marks the start of a new project for the company in the state, which already manages the airports of Fortaleza and Porto Alegre in Brazil.

During the ceremony, Fraport Brasil's CEO, Andreea Pal, highlighted Jericoacoara's tourist potential and the airport's strategic role as a gateway for visitors from Brazil and abroad. According to her, the company intends to upgrade the terminal's infrastructure and prepare it for the growth in passenger demand, ensuring safer, more efficient and more comfortable operations for users and airlines.

The concession is part of the federal AmpliAR program, aimed at expanding and modernizing regional airports. With the new contract, the management of Jericoacoara airport will now have operational synergy with Fortaleza International Airport, also managed by Fraport Brasil.
