Fortaleza Airport is ready for travelers arriving and departing by air in the capital of Ceará. This June, 483,000 passengers are expected on 3,263 domestic and international flights. The busiest day for travelers will be June 24, with 120 flights and 17,700 passengers expected to pass through the airport terminal. Fortaleza Airport, in the category of airports with more than 5 million annual passengers, is the fastest growing in the Northeast region, with 4.5% growth compared to the previous year, overtaking Salvador and Recife, with 4.4% and 3.9%, respectively.

From June 4 to 27, a reception with a forró pé-de-serra trio, in partnership with Maracanaú's São João festival, is entertaining everyone who passes through the arrivals hall. In addition, the airport terminal's stores and restaurants have special offers and menus for the month of June.

Increased domestic and international flight frequencies

The Fortaleza/Salvador route will see a significant increase in the months of June and July, from 14 to 27 daily departures, which significantly expands the supply to meet demand during the period. In addition, as of October 2025, Air France has confirmed an increase in frequency on the Fortaleza/Paris route. Two weekly departures will be added, making a total of five weekly flights, representing a significant advance in the connection between the Northeast and Europe.

Resumption of regional route

In terms of domestic flights, from the last week of June, Fortaleza airport will resume its direct route to Juazeiro do Norte, strengthening regional connectivity. The route will be operated by Latam.

High performance in the international market

Air France, which maintains the lead in occupancy rates for international flights from Fortaleza Airport, has a load factor of over 94% on the route to Paris. Since April, the company has also been operating the Fortaleza/Caiena route in French Guiana, strengthening its international network. TAP, operating the Fortaleza/Lisbon route, also maintains an excellent performance, with a load factor of 90%.

"We continue to work to offer more route options to the people of Ceará. The airport is ready to welcome airlines and passengers to increasingly connect Fortaleza with new destinations," says Pedro Navega, Fraport Brasil's commercial aviation manager.
